What are the different role-based permissions for Transmittals?

Created by LivSYT Help and Support, Modified on Fri, 19 Jun at 12:25 AM by LivSYT Help and Support

Purpose:

To explain what each user role is allowed to see and do with the Transmittals feature.

Role Permissions:

  • Project Admin / System Admin: Can turn the feature on or off, set up numbering codes, create workflow paths, and make checklist templates.

  • Sender: Can create, save drafts, and submit a new Transmittal.

  • Document Controller: Can receive incoming Transmittal, check them, and choose which reviewers or approvers should see them next. He can also make the Approval Flow parallel before forwarding it to Approvers.

  • Approver: Can look at the shared files and choose to Approve/Reject/Request Resubmission or Acknowledge the Transmittal

  • Viewer (Read-Only): Can only view and download historical Transmittal documents and look at the tracking logs. They cannot edit or approve anything.

Tips and Practices:

  • Talk to your Project Admin/System Admin if you cannot see the Transmittals button on your screen. Your profile might need a permission update.
